FOURTH JOURNAL

October 9Th 2015

I developed my third intervention with my students from eight grade to compliment the analisys of students social discourses. after they had organized the cards they will continue using for the next sessions.

I presented the vacabulary present in the cards to make them understand it. I used mime and synonims to explain this vocabulary and to complement the pictures that were representing the words inside the cards.

Students were interested and engaged in the activity and they were repeating the words I was teaching.
at the en of this activity they had to represent through mimes one of the words  in order to make the rest of the class guess the represented word.

this activity was really appealing for the students and almost all of them participated, furthermore, they encouraged those mates that didn't want to participate, by saying things like, "go ahead, don't be shy, don't be silly, it is easy to do".

Only one of the students didn´t participate and her reason was that she didn't feel comfortable doing that. Instead of that, when her classmates were representing their words, she participated guessing them.

After that activity, I presented to them some images in which there were bullying situations at school, and they had to describe what were they observing by using the words in the cards.

This activity was also very interesting for them and they were engaged on it. Unfortunatelly, the time was over, but students were actively participating.
